FAQ
1. What if I'm auditioning with more than one instrument?
You're super cool--but you probably already knew that.
Multi-instrumentalists must sign up for one time slot per instrument. For example: if you would like to audition for piano and clarinet, you will need to sign up for two time slots, or 30 mins of audition time total.
If you're a vocalist that can sing multiple voice parts, please sign up for one 15 minute time slot total--we'll determine your choral placement once results are released.
2. I missed the first round of auditions but I still want to audition this year. What should I do?
If you're not available during the scheduled audition days or missed the first round of instrumental auditions, you can sign up for one of our Summer Open Audition dates that are available for any instrument/vocal type!
If you will be unavailable all summer and still wish to audition, send us an email at stillroommke@gmail.com to set up a time in the fall.
3. Will my audition be recorded?
Yes, but audio only. Recording auditions helps the audition panel review and share material in the event that one of our panel members is unable to be present during your audition. Recordings of your auditions will not be seen by anyone outside of the audition panel.
4. Are there any restrictions on who can audition?
Stillroom currently will not be accepting anyone who is under the age of 18 into our ensembles. This is due to not yet having proper personnel or training to support teen/youth ensembles, and partially due to the difficulty of the repertoire we intend to perform. We encourage young performers to audition once they feel they are ready and meet the age requirements!
